Can We Lose God’s Protection According To The Bible?

According to the Bible, God’s protection is available to all who seek it and follow His commands. However, there are also teachings that suggest that we can lose God’s protection if we turn away from Him or disobey His commands.
For example, in the Old Testament, the Israelites were promised God’s protection if they followed His commands and kept His covenant. However, if they turned away from God and worshiped other gods, they would lose His protection and face punishment.
In the New Testament, Jesus teaches that those who believe in Him and follow His teachings will have eternal life and be protected by God. However, He also warns that those who reject Him and refuse to follow His teachings will not have God’s protection and will face judgment.
In addition, the Bible teaches that sin can separate us from God’s protection. In Psalm 66:18, it says, “If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.” This suggests that if we continue to sin and do not repent, we may lose God’s protection.
Overall, the Bible teaches that God’s protection is available to all who seek it and follow His commands. However, if we turn away from God, reject His teachings, or continue to sin without repentance, we may lose the benefits of His protection.
